This type of metal casting is investment casting, a process that requires products to be transformed into wax. The first step is to create a wax model of the desired object / shape. This model can come in a simple shape or some very detailed one also. Once you have your wax model then the next step is to coat it in a hard material which forms a shell overtop of your waxes. This shell is needed to retain this shape after the wax has been melted out. After the hard stuff sets, you melt away all that wax and it drains out the bottom kind of like a candle burning down from top to base leaving behind an empty shape matching your original model. And then, you pour this molten metal in the empty shape. This Shenghui metal casting corresponds with the shape of the wax layout which turns out to be an excellent duplicate. Once the metal cools it sets and becomes hard, you can remove the shell leaving your perfect copy of a wax piece in solid metal form.
